Rousham represents the first phase of English landscape design and remains as William Kent and Bridgeman.

William Kent (1685-1748) was an eminent english architect, landscape architect and furniture designer of the early 18th century.

Charles Bridgeman (1690-1738) was an english garden designer. Bridgeman was a pioneer in the landscaping in the 18th century.
